Biography

"Life on one page"...
"Prior to choosing a career in theatre 18 years ago, I had successfully forayed into a variety of fields…typical Aquarian: retail regional marketing director; owner of an imported gifts store; president of an advertising and public relations firm; restaurant proprietor; children's textbook illustrator; co-founder & senior vice-president of a golf company; radio talk-show host; published poet; event coordinator; community relations consultant; and event speaker. Then…by accident, theatre and I found each other.
Now exclusively involved in theatre, I am a thrilled and honored recipient of fourteen performance awards, an Ensemble Member of New Village Arts, a Guest Artist at Lambs Players Theatre, a Resident Artist at North Coast Repertory Theatre, and hold memberships in AEA, SAG and AFTRA.
While the "next role" is always my favorite, special memories include: Dolly Levi in Matchmaker, Cygnet Theatre, SD CA, my ninth collaboration with Sean Murray; Gladys in The Waverly Gallery, New Village Arts; Evy Meara in The Gingerbread Lady, Renaissance Theatre; title role in Auntie Mame, North Coast Repertory Theatre; Ethel in On Golden Pond, Moonlight/The AVO Playhouse; Big Momma in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Sierra Rep Theatre; Lyubov in The Cherry Orchard, Fritz Theatre; Francis in Light Up The Sky, PCPA; Prioress in Edith Stein, Lambs Players Theatre, The Burning Deck, La Jolla Playhouse; and, The Snow Ball, (premiere) Old Globe Theatre, SD CA & Huntington Theatre, Boston, directed by Jack O'Brien.
I'm a proud mother of three grown-up children who are patiently waiting for their mother to do the same. And, when not traveling to the next rehearsal or the yet undiscovered country, I spend my spare time embracing the efforts of "all the brave and diligent souls who tirelessly strive to preserve the importance of theatre for (wo)mankind's enlightenment, in spite of continued personal 'non-profit arts' poverty"Amen.
